Facebook Tweaks Rules To Allow Hate Speech Against 'Russian Invaders' Amid War On Ukraine

let's not shift our attention to the other big story that we are tracking on beyond where the US tech giant Facebook has joined the bandwagon to isolate Russia Facebook has changed its policy on the violent hate speech against the Russian invaders and the statement follows a report which is said that Facebook will not restrict calls for violence against Russians and the Russian soldiers in some select countries the Facebook's parent company meta has said that the political expressions that would normally violate the rules will be allowed but the company has said that calls for violence against civilians will not be permitted  the report also showed that meta will allow the support of the Ukrainian Neo-Nazi group Azov battalion in the context of the Ukrainian invasion the reserve battalion was listed as a dangerous organization by Facebook in 2016 the ease in restrictions will be allowed mostly in ex-soviet republics like Poland , Latvia , Romania , Slovakia , Ukraine and even Russia but Facebook did not comment on the policies geographic boundaries in the meantime Facebook has started to climb down on the Russian claims Facebook took down the Russian post on the hospital bombing in Mario polls which said that the maternity house was non-operational and was used by the Ukrainian army twitter has also removed Russia's tweet claiming the same the Ukraine's digital minister said that Kiev is in fact seeking support from around 50 tech firms in a bid to try and aise awareness against Russia's continued assault on Ukraine well i actually lost account so, i think they're so far it's just like a 50 plus companies um maybe even more So , we are trying to raise awareness among like top platforms of course including uh what you said and Netflix and twitter and like even companies that  provide infrastructure like akamai you know like different different companies that um azure Microsoft amazon at sea Russia has already blocked facebook and twitter but some tech giants including twitter have launched a privacy protected site which can be accessed through the dark web in Russia Facebook has been accused of inciting violence in the past which includes the regions of Myanmar and Ethiopia.
