Moving on to Israel now which has spoken in defense of Ukraine's territorial integrity
but uh did a diplomatic balancing act on the Russian aggression it is now in a
precarious position because ahead of the Ukrainian president's planned address to the parliament in Israel the Russian ambassador to Israel has sought an urgent meeting with the
parliament Speaker ambassador ant-holy Victor is reportedly to meet levy today
and apparently the objective of this meeting is to protest against zelensky's
address to the Israeli law makers the Russian ambassador's request has also
sparked fear among the Israeli officials they are now afraid that the meeting may
well be followed by a request for president Putin to also address the Parliament
besides this the Ukrainian ambassador has said that zelenski speech will be held
via zoom on the 20th of march earlier in a bit together public support in Israel the Ukrainian government also reportedly asked to address a large rally
at yad vashem however the national memorial yad vashem turned down the Request due
to concerns over comparison which will be drawn between the Russian invasion
and the holocaust meanwhile Israel's reluctance to come out against Russia lies
in its concerns over the country's security architecture Russia acts as a
principle broker for Israel in Syria where Israel has got the evy to aim and
target Iranian-backedshia militias this unique arrangement has helped Israel to
combat Hezbollah the other Iranian-backed groups which have multiplied in Syria in recent years and our correspondent Jodi Cohen sent us this report from tel av iv for a better understanding of this balancing act on part of Israel amid
