India accidently fires missile into Pakistan, latter seeks joint probe

 

Still in Pakistan a day after India admitted accidental firing of a missile that landed in Pakistan territory Pakistan has now demanded a joint probe into the accident the Indian defense ministry on Friday acknowledged the incident of the missile that landed in Pakistan's Miyan Chanu in Khaniwal district on 9th of march issuing a statement the Indian ministry of defense said and i quote on march the 9th 2022 in the cause of a routine maintenance a technical malfunction led to the accidental firing of a missile it father said and i quote again it is learned that the missile landed in an area of Pakistan while the incident is deeply regrettable it is also a matter of relief that there has been no loss of life due to the accident the government of India father said that it has taken a serious view and has ordered a high level quote of inquiry however responding to the Indian defense ministry Pakistan's foreign office say that the incident raises several fundamental questions regarding security protocols and technical safeguards against accidental missile launch especially in a neutralized environment it rather issued a statement that I Quote such serious matters cannot be addressed with the simplistic explanation preferred by the Indian authorities Pakistan demands a joint probe to accurately establish the facts that surround this incident according to a 2005 agreement between India and Pakistan each country has to notify the other at least three days in advance of any flight test they want to undertake.
