Situation in Mariupol critical amid the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine

 

 The Ukrainian authorities have been making some urgent efforts to try and open a viable humanitarian corridor especially at the besieged port city of Mariupol in the south remember this is the key port town that has been surrounded by Russian troops pretty much since the invasion of Ukraine began Ukrainian president  residency has accused Russia of targeting a humanitarian corridor to the city of Mariupol by refusing to allow people to get out of the fourth city regardless of this Zelensky has said that he has decided to send a convoy of trucks into the besieged city with food water and Medicine is a port city with an estimated population of 400 000 people who are still living in the city it is located to the southern part of Ukraine where Russia has made its biggest advances it's surrounded by Russian forces to the north east wherein the Russian-controlled areas of Donetsk and luhans and to the west lies the city of cur son that is presently under Russian Occupation now despite the humanitarian corridors that have been established hundreds of thousands of civilians still remain trapped and under fire in Ukrainian Cities according to the Ukrainian president more than 7 000 people have been evacuated from four different Ukrainian cities so far but none from Mariupol. Its the Ukrainian deputy prime minister also said that the Russian shelling had prevented evacuees from leaving the Ukrainian port city of Mario poll and the Ukrainian authorities will attempt fresh evacuations on Saturday as fears of humanitarian crises in the area have Worsened Foreign the season Mario has left civilians scrounging for food and water according to the Ukrainian officials more than a thousand civilians have in fact died in Mario pole since the Russian invasion began.
