India-US 2+2 ministerial meeting: Antony Blinken mentions rights abuses in India

 




Top Indian officials the US secretary of state Anthony Blinken mentioned the rise in rights abuses in India Lincoln said, that the united states is monitoring what he described as a rights in as a rise in human rights abuses in the country by some government officials last week a u.s representative had questioned the alleged reluctance of the Biden administration in criticizing the Indian government on human rights blinking did not elaborate any further on the matter however also there was no response on the issue from the Indian side present at the briefing listening we also share a commitment to our democratic values such as protecting human rights we regularly engage with our Indian partners on these shared values and to that end we're monitoring some recent concerning developments in India including a rise in human rights abuses by some government police and prison officials.
