US to do more : Russia-Ukraine War

So we begin with the history that has just been made over the last half an hour here in Washington dc as you will have seen on we on president Vladimir zelensky of Ukraine has made a speech to a joint session of congress he did not hold back openly challenging president Joe Biden to step up and prove that he is ready to lead the world in its resistance to Russia's aggression towards Ukraine he mentioned pearl harbor the attacks on the united states of September the 11th 2001. he channeled martin Luther king and insisted that Ukraine needs and deserves an internationally enforced no-fly zone in the skies above its territory to prevent Russian aggression that he then illustrated with a very moving before and after video showing scenes from Ukraine prior to the Russian invasion and some of the deadly atrocities that the Russians have carried out over the course of the last three weeks he insisted that NATO allies led by the united states need to do more to asses his government push back against a Russian invasion that is determined to topple president Zelensky from power and bring the whole of Ukraine back into Moscow's sphere of influence i call on you to do more he said of the us government urging daily additional sanctions that he argued ought to be targeting every single Russian politician that has backed Vladimir Putin's decision to invade his country and in English at the end of his speech in emotional terms he said that there is no sense of his own life continuing if he cannot stop the deaths of innocents and particularly children in Ukraine let's take a listen now to a section of president Vladimir Zelensky's speech two members of congress a speech in which he absolutely piled pressure on president Biden to do more to help him ladies and gentlemen friends Americans in your great history you have pages that would allow you to understand Ukrainians understand us now when you need It right now when we need you right now remember pearl harbor terrible morning of December 7 1941 when your sky was black from the plains attacking you just remember it remember September the 11th a terrible day in 20 2001 when evil try to turn your cities independent territories in battlefields when innocent people were attacked attacked from air yes just like nobody else expected it you could not stop it our Country experience the same every day right now at this moment every night for three weeks now various Ukrainian cities Odessa and Carthage Russia has turned the Ukrainian sky into a source of death this is a terror that Europe has not seen has not seen for 80 years and we are asking for a reply for an answer to this terror from the whole world is this a lot to ask for to create a no-fly zone zone over Ukraine to save people is this too much to ask humanitarian no-fly zone something that Ukraine that Russia would not be able to terrorize our free cities if this is too much to ask.
