US: Are We Your Slaves?

 


Days after Prime Minister Imran Khan's statement against the European Union envoys based in Islamabad, the White House Friday refused to give a clear response on the matter.


PM Imran Khan’s remarks had triggered a controversy with many slamming the premier for his public outburst against the EU nations and putting Pakistan’s relations with the West at risk.


During a briefing, the spokesperson was asked to comment on PM Khan statement that “he will not be a slave of America like other politicians do", the White House Press Secretary said: “We have a long relationship with Pakistan, and that is a relationship we’ll continue through diplomatic channels. So I don’t have any more comments on that.”

A Russian Instagram blogger has been slammed after she sobbed to her fans fearing for her ‘influencer’ income after Vladimir Putin banned Western social media in Russia. 


Meta claims that more than an 80million users in Russia are now set to be cut off from Instagram, plunging the income source of ‘influencers’ into uncertainty. 


A Russian beauty blogger broke down in tears over the Instagram ban. The young woman then told her fans that she is in the ‘first stage of grief' over the news of the Instagram ban.

The opposition has warned the government if National Assembly session isn't called on Monday, then they will not allow OIC Conference in Islamabad which is happening after 2 decades where 46 Muslims Countries will be attending the conference.

Harvard Students Start Signature Campaign to Support Hijab Girls

 





A few Indian students of Harvard University have written a letter to fellow students of various other major universities in the US seeking their support for the Muslim girls in India, who are protesting against the existing uniform guidelines that mandate students to wear a uniform and ban religious attire such as Hijab or burqa.


In a letter accessed by OpIndia, a section of students from India studying at Harvard University has written a letter to other Indian students at various other universities asking them to be part of a signature campaign to demand the Karnataka government to withdraw the order to ban Hijab in educational institutions. 


The students also demanded that the government apologise to all teachers and students who were forced to allegedly “disrobed” in public.


The Harvard students claimed they were appalled and extremely disheartened to see the banning of hijabs in schools and colleges across Karnataka, making schools inaccessible to young girls.
